What is Sofwave™?
Sofwave is a non-invasive ultrasound treatment designed to create a controlled thermal response within the skin.
The treatment delivers ultrasound energy to the targeted tissue, producing a controlled response associated with collagen stimulation and remodelling.
Unlike treatments that use needles, Sofwave does not require needle penetration.
This makes the treatment fundamentally different from procedures such as Morpheus8, which combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy.
The objective is not to surgically reposition tissue, but to support improvement in selected concerns involving skin firmness and laxity.

Understanding the skin
Why does skin become less firm?
Skin firmness naturally changes over time.
Ageing can alter the skin’s collagen and elastin structure, while genetics and environmental exposure can also influence how the skin appears.
The visible change may present as:

However, the appearance of laxity does not always mean that the same treatment is appropriate for every patient.

Microneedling + RF
Morpheus8™
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy and therefore introduces both needle penetration and RF energy into the tissue.
Morpheus8 may be more relevant where concerns also involve skin texture or selected acne scarring.
The appropriate option depends on the skin, anatomy, treatment area and desired outcome.

Sofwave is not recommended simply because skin looks “loose”
At Allure Passions UK, Sofwave is not automatically recommended simply because someone describes their skin as “loose.”
The consultation considers:

- Desired outcome
- Whether volume loss is contributing to the appearance
- Whether deeper structural support is involved
- Whether another technology would be more appropriate

The sensation can vary according to the treatment area.
Your practitioner will explain what to expect during treatment and immediately afterwards.
Because Sofwave is non-invasive and does not involve needles, the treatment experience is different from fractional RF microneedling procedures such as Morpheus8.
